Following a rash of reports of Coachella’s rumored headliners, the official lineup is finally here, albeit later than usual. The 2024 edition is topped by Lana Del Rey; Tyler, The Creator; Doja Cat and a reunion set from No Doubt featuring original members Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young. Coachella is the first confirmed performance for No Doubt since the Southern California ska/pop rock band went on hiatus in 2015.

Organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG, the 2024 fest will take place April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the 78-acre Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

The mega-festival, which is once again nominated for a Pollstar Award for Music Festival of the Year (Global, Over 30K Attendance), will also feature performances by Peso Pluma, Blur, J Balvin, Lil Uzi Vert, Ice Spice, Jhené Aiko, Justice, Gesaffelstein, Khruangbin, Bizarrap, Carin León, Deftones, Jungle, Dom Dolla, Sabrina Carpenter, Bleachers, Grimes, Jon Batiste, Lil Yachty, DJ Snake, Faye Webster and many more. Check out the lineup poster below.

Coachella will feature another reunion with original Sublime members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson teaming up with Jakob Nowell, the son of the band’s late frontman Bradley Nowell. An announcement from Sublime notes that Jakob first took the stage with Gaugh and Wilson in December during a benefit concert for Bad Brains’ H.R. in which they performed an eight-song set featuring Sublime classics including “Wrong Way” and “Santeria.” Gaugh and Wilson previously performed together in the group Sublime with Rome until Gaugh departed the lineup in 2011.

Festival passes went on sale in June, starting at $499 plus fees for general admission. VIP festival passes started at $1,069 plus fees.

After the first batch of passes sold out months ago, Coachella is now offering fans the chance to register for access to a presale. An announcement from Goldenvoice says: “Register now for access to passes at coachella.com. Presale begins Friday, January 19 at 11am PT. For your best chance at passes, look to Weekend 2. This is a presale and does not guarantee pass type, packages or camping.”

Consequence Of Sound points out that 2024 will be the first time any of the acts have headlined Coachella. Tyler, The Creator made a guest appearance during Kali Uchis’ 2023 set and previously performed at Coachella in 2015 and 2018, as well as appearing as a member of Odd Future. Doja Cat played Coachella in 2022. Del Rey, who was supposed to take the stage in 2020 until the festival was called off because of COVID-19, previously played in 2014.

Earlier today the members of No Doubt teased a reunion with a video posted on its official Instagram page showing the musicians taking part in a video call that ended with Stefani saying, “Let’s do a show.”

Coachella is one of the highest-grossing festivals in the world. Box office reports submitted to Pollstar include the 2017 fest that sold a total of 250,000 tickets over its two weekends and grossed $114,593,000.

Goldenvoice President & CEO Paul Tollett was honored in May 2023 as part of Pollstar‘s Impact 50 list.

The first weekend of the 2023 festival was headlined by Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean, with Bad Bunny becoming the first Latin American solo artist and Spanish-language performer to headline and BLACKPINK the first Korean artist and girl group to top the bill.

Ocean put on a controversial set and a few days later he announced he wouldn’t return to play weekend 2 because of “two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.” After previously surprising fans with a performance from a reunited blink-182 at the Sahara Tent on April 14 – the first time Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker had played together in public since DeLonge departed the pop-punk band in 2015 – Coachella welcomed blink back on weekend 2 for a main stage performance. The evening closed out with a set from Skrillex, Four Tet and Fred again..
