The BRIT Award nominees for 2024 are in. RAYE leads the ranking, having a total of seven shots at the most-coveted trophy in British music, which marks a record as the most nominated artist in a single year since the awards launched 44 years ago.

The previous record was six nominations, and it was held by Gorillaz (2002), Craig David (2001), and Robbie Williams (1999).

RAYE is nominated as Best New Artist, Artist of the Year, as well as in the R&B, and Pop Act categories. She’s also on two songs nominated as Song of the Year, and features on the Album of the Year list with her debut album My 21st Century Blues.

RAYE followed up a sold-out UK run supporting SZA last summer with a U.S. tour. Highlights from the Pollstar Boxoffice include a sold-out 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., Sept. 29, 2023, selling 1,200 tickets for a $36,000 gross; and a sold-out Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL, Oct. 10 (1,393 tickets, $41,877 gross).

She’s now going to tour Australia and New Zealand, before returning to the UK and Europe in February. Coachella is on her April itinerary, followed by South American dates in May, and some of the UK’s and Europe’s major festivals in summer – following festival performances at Glastonbury, All Points East, and more in 2023.

A fellow Artist of the Year and Pop Act nominee, Dua Lipa, who’s won at least one BRIT Award every year since 2018 (apart from 2020), will perform live at this year’s show, which will be broadcast from The O2, London, March 2.

2024 also sees the first BRIT Award nomination for The Rolling Stones in over a decade, after being nominated four times previously in 1977, 1995, 1996, and 2013.
