Ed Sheeran‘s two sold-out shows at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai, Jan. 19-20, became the best-selling concerts in UAE history, according to promoter Thomas Ovesen, CEO of All Things Live Middle East, who co-promoted the show alongside AEG Presents.

The capacity was 30,000 per show, with both nights selling out, he told Pollstar. On his last visit to Dubai in 2017, performing at The Autism Rocks Arena, Sheeran sold 23,272 tickets for a $2,783,800 gross, according to the Pollstar Boxoffice.

Previous concerts promoted by Ovesen at Sevens Stadium include One Direction in 2015 (29,300 tickets, $4,263,314 grossed), and Justin Bieber in 2013 (28,544 tickets, 7,773,419 grossed, across two shows).
