Khruangbin Books North American Tour

Khruangbin has announced a full North American tour to go along with the band’s previously announced appearances at Coachella and Bonnaroo. The trek, which stretches from April through October, features multiple nights at Morrison, Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks, New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Berkeley’s Greek Theatre and more.

The trio, whose name translates to “engine fly” in Thai, is known for mixing genres including soul, funk, psychedelia and surf rock, with global styles from across the globe including Iran, Thailand and the French Antilles, and influences such as The Isley Brothers, Prince, Persian guitarist Kourosh Yaghmaei and Italian composer Ennio Morricone.

Khruangbin is gearing up to release A La Sala, its first full-length LP in four years. The album is due out April 5 on Dead Oceans in partnership with Night Time Stories Ltd., and features the single “A Love International.”

In between sets at Coachella, the tour stops by the Madonna Inn Expo Center in San Luis Obispo, California, April 18. Following the fest, the band heads to Las Vegas for two nights at the Brooklyn Bowl, Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Revel and Philadelphia’s The Met. Other multi-night stays include three shows at Toronto’s History, two gigs at Chicago’s Salt Shed and the tour’s final two performances at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre. Check out the routing below.

The band will be joined on select dates by Hermano Gutiérrez, John Carroll Kirby, Peter Cat Recording Co., Men I Trust and Arooj Aftab.

A Khru Club artist presale starts on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. local time, A Spotify presale begins Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by a local/venue presale on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 10am local time and the regular onsale on Friday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. local time.

Khruangbin, which was featured on the cover of Pollstar in 2019, is managed by AND Artist Management’s Annie McIntyre and the band’s tour dates are booked by Arrival Artists’ Ethan Berlin and John Bongiorno.

The most recent report submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for the band was a Dec. 6, 2022, show at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, that sold 5,762 tickets and grossed $320,034. The concert was promoted by Frontier Touring, Chugg Entertainment and Penny Drop.
