Afrobeat musician Davido earns the No. 15 position on the Artist Power Index to top the list of concert headliners making their debut appearance on the chart. The Nigerian singer-songwriter enters the rankings following his Jan. 28 performance at The O2 in London on his “Timeless” tour that launched last summer.

The London show, which kicked off his 2024 touring schedule, was followed by a concert at Accor Arena in Paris. More stops are planned for April when he returns to North America for concerts in New York City, Montreal and Orlando, Florida.

U.S. venues were also part of the tour’s 2023 run, including a sold-out November event, “A.W.A.Y (Are We African Yet?) Festival,” celebrating African culture and music. Held at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, the concert featured multiple artists and was attended by 11,246 fans. Earlier in the year, he also sold 8,577 tickets at Washington’s Capital One Arena and 4,663 at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston.

Also with a debut on the Artist Power Index is Flo Rida at No. 16 who scores his ranking following two January concerts. One was a headlining performance at the “Mardi Gras Mambo” concert on Jan. 26 at Pensacola Bay Center in Florida. Then, Justin Timberlake bows at No. 20 following his recent concerts at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis and New York’s Irving Plaza. The pop star will be back in arenas with “The Forget Tomorrow” tour, his first in five years, set to begin in Vancouver in April.

On LIVE75, Bring Me The Horizon scores the “Hot Shot” classification with the highest ranking among the five concert acts making a debut on the chart. The British band’s Top-10 appearance is the result of ticket sales reported at Utilita Arena Birmingham, AO Arena in Manchester and Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, three of the nine arenas booked on a trek through the UK in January. The brief tour, which also included a performance in Ireland at Dublin’s 3Arena, precedes the arrival of the group’s POST HUMAN: NeX GEn album this summer after its planned September 2023 release was postponed.

Touring with Bad Omens, Cassyette and Static Dress as show openers, Bring Me The Horizon played for a crowd of 15,074 in Birmingham on Jan. 12, followed by 14,204 fans at the Manchester show the next evening. Then, in Sheffield on the 19th, the ticket total for the sold-out concert reached 13,369. With a combined ticket count of 42,647, the group averaged 14,215 sold seats per show to earn the No. 7 ranking.

LIVE75 has a new top artist as Billy Joel moves up one position to secure No. 1 based on a four-show ticket average of 24,545, fueled largely by his sold-out concert at Tokyo Dome in Japan. His ticket count for his performance at the indoor baseball stadium on Jan. 24 hit 44,401, racking up a gross of $7.9 million. Also, his December and January shows in New York City as part of his Madison Square Garden residency along with a New Year’s Eve event at UBS Arena in Belmont Park contributed to his jump to the top.

Ed Sheeran holds No. 1 on the Artist Power Index for a second week based on his own concert at Tokyo Dome on Jan. 31, along with a previous stadium event in Osaka. Prior to the Japanese dates, he performed in the U.A.E. and Bahrain to kick off his tour’s 2024 schedule.
