Vampire Weekend Announces Huge North American Tour
Indie giants Vampire Weekend will play 39 dates on a massive North American tour, the band’s first since 2019.
Supporting the new album Only God Was Above Us, Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio and Chris Tomson will spend most of the spring, all of the summer and the first part of autumn crisscrossing the continent.
The tour proper begins June 6 at 713 Music Hall in Houston. That follows a special one-off for the solar eclipse April 8 at the Moody Amphitheater in Austin and festival plays at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage, Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
The Live Nation tour includes three two-show engagements — at The Greek in Berkeley, California; KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner, Montana; and at Madison Square Garden — where the band will play a Saturday night set and a Sunday afternoon matinee. See the full routing below.
Support includes LA LOM, The English Beat, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mike Gordon, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Ra Ra Riot, Princess featuring Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, Cults, a DJ Set By Mark Ronson, Turnstiles and The Brothers Macklovitch.
Citi presales begin February 20 with artist presales February 21. General onsale is February 23.
Vampire Weekend’s had begun touring in 2020 with a handful of Australian and festival dates before the pandemic halted it and has continued to play festivals and special events since. The most recent North American headlining dates in Pollstar Boxoffice are two nights at Red Rocks October 8-9, 2019. The shows grossed $1,111,204 on a total of 16,285 tickets.
Vampire Weekend’s agent is CAA’s Adam Voith.
