The Oriel Company has elevated Nina Lee to the role of Vice President of Communications, the public relationships company’s co-founders Carleen Donovan, Chloë Walsh, and Jen Appel announced earlier this month.

Lee, who is based in New York and joined The Oriel in 2021, has a diverse client roster that includes Maxwell, Daniel Caesar, UMI, Hannibal Buress, No ID, d4vd, James Fauntleroy, Sickamore, and Betty Who. She also leads the team representing corporate clients including Amazon Music, Live Nation Urban, and 88rising, and has overseen PR initiatives for festivals such as Head In The Clouds, Roots Picnic and H.E.R.’s Lights On Festival.

An announcement from The Oriel explains that “Lee will continue to strategize and execute all-encompassing media campaigns for award-winning multi-platinum global talent across music, comedy, film, and television.”

She is an active member of the Asian American Collective and served in the 2023 class of mentors for Femme It Forward’s Next Gem Femme program. The Feb. 12 announcement adds, “At The Oriel Company, she is a mentor to junior members of the staff and will expand her leadership opportunities in this new role.” Her accolades include being named one of 2023’s Top 50 Unsung Heroes by the Asian Hustle Network.

Lee previously worked at Shore Fire Media and Press Here.

“Nina Lee has been an integral part of The Oriel Company’s team, consistently demonstrating outstanding professionalism, tenacity and creativity. She’s an inventive media executive untethered from convention and committed to innovation. Her work ethic and vision are inspiring. It’s an honor to announce her much-deserved promotion,” Donovan, Walsh, and Appel said in a joint statement.

Lee said, “The deep, deep care and strategic vision The Oriel team put into their campaigns are unparalleled. I’m grateful for the unwavering support from Carleen, Jen, and Chloë and I am excited to continue learning, collaborating, and growing with them.”
