FKP Scorpio Strengthens International Operations
FKP Scorpio appointed Rauha Kyyrö, and Rense van Kessel as presidents touring & artist development, bolstering the company’s international operations.
Kyyrö and van Kessel have been appointed to the company’s international board and will be in charge of developing the group’s artist booking and promoter activities across Europe.
Kyyrö and van Kessel are founders of Fullsteam and Friendly Fire, among the most well-respected music companies in their respective countries, Finland, and The Netherlands. Since entering the business in the early 2000s they have worked with over 3,000 artists combined, and promoted some of the most successful shows and festivals in their home markets.
Alongside the appointment of Kyyrö and van Kessel, the company has recently appointed new Directors in Finland (Aino-Maria Paasivirta, head promoter, Fullsteam Agency), Netherlands (Lauri van Ommen, head of Promoted Shows and Age Versluis, Head of Touring, Friendly Fire) and Germany (Inga Esseling and Ben Rodenberg, Directors Touring, FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH).
FKP Scorpio currently operates across UK and Europe with offices in 11 countries, promoting over 25 festivals, and several thousand shows annually. Folkert Koopmans (CEO), Stephan Thanscheidt (CEO), Freddie de Wall (COO), and Jörg Jeschke (CFO) continue as executives of the company alongside the above nominations.
