Romeo Santos Reunites With Aventura For Band’s Final Tour
One of the most influential Latin groups will be back on stage and closing a chapter in their illustrious career. Bachata star Romeo Santos announced he will be reuniting with Aventura for the “Cerrando Ciclos” (“Closing Cycles”) tour, bringing the band’s iconic bachata sound to North American arenas in May and June.
The Cárdenas Marketing Network Events-produced tour will mark the final time Romeo Santos, who is known as the “King of Bachata,” will be on stage with Aventura, which also includes Henry Santos, Lenny Santos and Max Santos, to deliver a nostalgia-fueled experience that will surely include hit songs such as “Obsesion” and “Dile al Amor.”
“This year there is something I must accomplish and conclude,” Romeo Santos wrote on social media. “I want you to join me on a journey where I will be definitively closing cycles. Because it is not the same to remember beautiful times as it is to be a prisoner of the past. We cannot stagnate in the nostalgia of yesterday, but rather move forward, discover new horizons, and show other facets.”
“Cerrando Ciclos” will kick off at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, on May 1 and make its way to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Houston’s Toyota Center, Allstate Arena in Chicago, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Prudential Center in Newark, Boston’s TD Garden, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, Kaseya Center in Miami and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena before wrapping up at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Tickets for the 20-date trek go on sale March 1 at noon ET and can be purchased at aventura.cmnevents.com.
Aventura, repped by Global Talent Booking, last performed together in 2021 for the “Inmortal Tour.’ The band hailing from New York played at arenas in early 2020 but had to cancel remaining shows in March of that year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Aventura made it up to fans by returning for a brief stadium run in 2021 and selling out every show. According to Pollstar Boxoffice, their “Inmortal Tour” run grossed $46,586,961 off 19 shows, including a massively successful performance at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Oct. 9, 2021, that moved 48,327 tickets and hauled in $7,339,642.
