Artist Manager Nina Avramides Dies At 82
Artist Manager Nina Avramides – who spent more than four decades handling the day-to-day management of Jimmy Buffett, Dan Fogelberg, Whitesnake, Jimmy Page, The Cult, and many others – died on Feb. 17 from dementia. She was 82.
Avramides was born in Harrogate, England, and grew up in Cyprus, Greece. She moved to the United States with her family in 1964.
Earlier in her career in the music business she worked with Howard Kaufman and James Guercio, managing Chicago. In the 1970s she joined Irving Azoff’s Front Line Management, which later became known as HK Management.
Along with the acts mentioned above, Avramides was involved in the careers of the Eagles, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, and more.
She and her husband, Pierre Berducat, resided in Marina del Rey along with “some sweet felines.”
Avramides is survived by her husband and sisters, Kate Avramides and Susie Avramides.
A memorial service is planned for the spring. Details are to be announced.
