Pickathon, the acclaimed Oregon music, arts and culture festival successfully renewed its conditional use permit to allow the immersive festival to continue on its Pendarvis Farm site 12 miles outside of Portland for another 10 years.

Since its inception in 1999, Pickathon has become an integral part of the music community fabric, with innovation, inclusivity, and a commitment to sustainability, and hosted some of the brightest talent in roots and Americana music and beyond.

Last year’s event featured such artists as Say She She, Vieux Farka Touré, Courteney Marie Andrews and Thee Sinseers. Previous years’ Pickathons have featured Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, The War And Treaty, Black Pumas, Khruangbin, Shakey Graves, Blind Boys of Alabama, Sierra Hull, Broken Social Scene, Paul Cauthen and more.

Early bird tickets to the Pickathon 2024, scheduled for August 1-4, go on sale March 13 at the event website. The official Pickathon 2024 artist lineup will be announced later this month.

“We are thrilled to announce that our 10-year permit at Pendarvis Farm has been approved, and we can officially confirm that Pickathon 2024 is happening!,” says Zale Schoenborn, Founder of Pickathon. “Right from the start, we reached out to our neighbors, the city of Happy Valley, and our community in the decision-making process for the future of Pickathon at Pendarvis Farm. … We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming enthusiasm we have received, and we look forward to bringing the best Pickathon experience yet to our community in summer 2024!”

“We believe that Pickathon is one of the few independent cultural and ecologically-driven festivals that exist in the U.S. and we want to see it continue to thrive at the farm in Happy Valley. The location is so important to the festival as it allows us all to connect with nature and the surrounding landscape and offers up activities for children and families ranging from permaculture to the petting zoo,” says British-born Piya Malik of Say She She.
