It’s Bichota season in Latin America, and it soon will be in Europe. Karol G, who is currently taking her “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” across the world, continued her streak of breaking records and raising the bar for female artists. The Colombian superstar, who recently won her first Grammy award, made history with two sold-out shows promoted by Move Concerts at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica, moving a whopping 104,686 tickets and breaking Coldplay’s two-night record of 86,000 that was set two years ago.

“We are proud at Move Concerts to have promoted Karol G’s historic shows in Costa Rica, where she set a new attendance record with more than 100,000 tickets sold on two dates” Andres Guanipa, director of Move Concerts Costa Rica, said in a statement.

According to Move Concerts, more than 18,000 fans traveled from out of the country to attend the shows, which employed more than 2,000 people.

The milestones don’t stop there. Karol G also became the first artist to sell out four shows, which are promoted by Live Nation, at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain.

Under the guidance of manager Noah Assad of Rimas Entertainment, Karol G successfully jumped into stadiums in North America last year and grossed more than $138 million off 15 sold-out shows, according to the Pollstar Boxoffice.

Her North American agent from United Talent Agency, Jbeau Lewis, recently chatted with Pollstar about Karol G’s ascension into superstardom.

“Karol is an indisputable global superstar,” Lewis, UTA partner and agent, told Pollstar. “As much ink as there is, appropriately so, around Taylor Swift or Beyoncé, Karol deserves to be talked about in the same breath as those women or what they’ve accomplished on the road. Karol, while the demographic may be slightly different, is speaking to an audience everywhere. One of hers and our goals is to use this platform she has to take Latin music around the world.”

The Latin American leg of her “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” kicked off in Mexico City last month with great success. She was the first female artist to sell out the iconic Estadio Azteca for three consecutive nights, averaging 80,000 fans per night. She will be visiting the Dominican Republic this weekend followed by stops in Perú, Chile, her native home country of Colombia, Paraguay and Brazil through May. Karol G will then make her way to Europe, kicking off at AG Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland, on June 8 and visiting London, Paris, Amsterdam and more major European cities.
