Eric Clapton To Play Three SoCal Shows In October
Renowned musician Eric Clapton announced he will visit sunny Southern California later this year for a limited run of shows, including one night at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The former member of influential bands Cream, Yardbirds and Blind Faith will perform three nights in the area, kicking off the first of three shows at Pechanga Arena San Diego on Oct. 8. Clapton will then play at Arcisure Arena in Palm Desert on Oct. 10 followed by one night at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 12. Goldenvoice promotes the first night and tickets will be available via AXS. Live Nation promotes the final two shows with tickets going on sale on Ticketmaster.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 5, at 10 a.m. local time and can be purchased by visiting ericclapton.com.
Clapton, who is considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time, is managed by Bushbranch Limited and repped by Creative Artists Agency. Rick Roskin, CAA’s co-head of contemporary music in North America, books the artist’s shows in South America, Australia, Asia and North America.
Since 2001, the guitarist virtuoso known as “Slowhand” has grossed nearly $400 million, according to 294 headline reports submitted to the Pollstar Boxoffice, including a sold-out night at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on Sept. 14, 2023, that moved 14,108 tickets and hauled in $2,185,818. He held his Crossroads Guitar Festival last September for two nights at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and grossed $3,367,005.
