Andrea Bocelli To Perform In U.S. Arenas This Holiday Season

Renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will be visiting the States during this holiday season with the Italian singer announcing 10 shows in December, including two nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The iconic singer is not only celebrating his 65^th birthday but also his 30^th year in the music business. The brief tour will feature songs from Bocelli’s extensive catalog, as well as holiday music from his A Family Christmas album and solo LP Believe.

The run of December shows, sponsored by investment firm Stifel, begins at Pechanga Arena in San Diego on Dec. 4. Bocelli will be making stops at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas and Inglewood, California’s Kia Forum on Dec. 8, which marks the first time he has performed at the arena. Other venues on the routing include Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, Boston’s TD Garden and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The tour will wrap up at Miami’s Kaseya Center on Dec. 22.

Citi cardholders will have access to presale tickets beginning April 9 at 10 a.m. local time, and Andrea Bocelli Fan Club members will have an exclusive presale window beginning April 10 at 10 a.m. local time. Winter won’t be the only opportunity for fans stateside to see Bocelli. He begins a run of North American spring shows tonight at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh and wraps up April 14 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena before visiting Europe and South America. He returns to the U.S. for two special performances: honoring the 75^th anniversary of Opera Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Oct. 30, and an intimate evening at Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, California, on Nov. 1.

Bocelli is one of the most successful solo artists in the business, grossing more than $571 million and selling 3.62 million tickets since April 1999, according to 305 headline reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice. The international star performed a sold-out show at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on Feb. 20 that grossed $2,205,580 off 11,766 tickets sold. He is managed by Francesco Pasquero and Scott Rodger at Maverick and Veronica Berti Bocelli, CEO of Almud Music. Gelb Production is Bocelli’s agent, promoter and producer in North America, represented by Bruce Gelb and Adam Weinberg.
