Glass Animals Announce ‘Tour Of The Earth’
British indie rock band Glass Animals have announced their worldwide “Tour Of The Earth” for 2024. Promoted by Live Nation, the 41-date tour will see the band headline the biggest stages of their career to date.
Kicking off Aug. 7 in Charlotte, NC, the tour will continue through North America, Europe, and the UK with stops in Toronto, New York, Nashville, Chicago, Vancouver, Paris, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Zurich, Munich, Amsterdam, Glasgow, and Manchester, among others. The tour ends Nov. 7 with in their home city of London.
The Grammy and BRIT Award-nominated, diamond-selling British band will be joined by special guests Kevin Abstract, Eyedress and Blondshell on select dates in North America. The Big Moon will accompany the band on all dates in Europe and the UK.
Glass Animals recently announced details of their fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ing Much, which is due for release July 19. “Creatures in Heaven,” the first single from the album, has just been released.
I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to Dreamland (2020), which sold over 12 million copies worldwide, and features the most successful international hit by a British band in almost 30 years, “Heat Waves.”
“It was the first song by a British band since ‘Wannabe’ by the Spice Girls in 1995 to spend five consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and the first song since Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ to reach number one with a single songwriter and producer,” according to a press release from Live Nation.
I Love You So F***ing Much is the result of the band’s frontman Dave Bailey “struggling to make sense of his newfound fame, especially as it had come about when the world was in lockdown,” according to the release.
The band last toured the world in 2022, selling out venues in the U.S., Europe, and Australia. Highlights from the Pollstar Boxoffice include two sold-out nights at The Anthem in Washington, DC, March 29-30, selling a total 12,000 tickets for a $749,338 gross; 9,968 tickets sold, and $536,819 grossed across two shows at Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park, Australia; and a sold-out Columbiahalle in Berlin, Germany, May 9 (3,479 tickets, $104,660 gross).
Glass Animals are represented by Amy Morgan at September Management, and CAA for bookings. The North American contact is Darryl Eaton. More details accessible to Pollstar subscribers here.
