LiveCo Names Chuck Steedman President & CEO Replacing Co-Founder Brian Becker
Entertainment and sports industry veteran Chuck Steedman has been named president and CEO of LiveCo, the entertainment company formed two years ago as a consolidation of multiple independent concert production entities.
Steedman’s previous roles include as global EVP of strategy and development at venue management company ASM Global, chief operating and development officer at AEG Facilities and, most recently, was a principal at private equity fund Raptor Sports Capital.
At LiveCo, he takes the role previously filled by co-founder and Brian Becker, who led the search for CEO according to the announcement and intends to continue involvement at LiveCo as a major shareholder.
LiveCo formed in November of 2021 with backing from private equity fund Waterland, as a consolidation of entertainment brands Base Entertainment, Icon Concerts, iTickets, MagicSpace Entertainment, Peachtree Entertainment, Premier Productions, Rush Concerts and Transparent Production. The company specializes in country, faith, family shows and other live entertainment production.
The principals of those firms became partners in LiveCo with its formation.
“LiveCo is a fantastic company made up of some of the most innovative and talented people and brands in live entertainment,” Steedman said in the announcement. “I am humbled that Waterland and LiveCo leadership have chosen me to lead this incredible organization into a new era of providing experiences for fans, artists, and entertainers across our amazing platforms.”
Becker added, “It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of the launching and leadership of LiveCo. I will miss working day-to-day with LiveCo’s incredible partners and team members, but I couldn’t have greater confidence in the company’s leadership and future with Chuck at the helm. I look forward to supporting Chuck and the company in the future.”
At ASM Global, Steedman spearheaded real estate development and advisory agreements, venue management deals, and advisory pacts. At AEG Facilities, which merged with SMG to become ASM Global, Steedman oversaw day-to-day operations at stadiums, arenas and convention centers worldwide. He also previously spent 10 years with the Boston Red Sox and parent company Fenway Sports Group.
