ASM Global Teams With r.World For Reusable Service Ware At Venues
Reuse platform r.World is introducing its reusable service ware in venues throughout ASM Global’s North American venue portfolio after joining with ASM Global Acts, the venue management company’s corporate social responsibility platform.
The partnership begins with r.World’s reusable service ware being used at Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Southern California as well as at select hospitality locations at the upcoming Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach April 19-21, according to the announcement released today.
“We’re thrilled to support ASM Global Acts to bring reuse to their vast network of venues,” said Michael Martin, founder and CEO of r.World, previously known as r.Cup for its reusable cup product. The company launched in in 2017 for U2’s “Joshua Tree Tour” and has worked with artists major artists including the Rolling Stones, AJR, Billie Eilish, venues and more.
“Their commitment to sustainability innovations like reuse is playing an important role in accelerating the impact and awareness of the reuse movement,” Martin added.
ASM Global Acts plans to roll out r.World’s products in its other venues across the country and has announced plans to eliminate single-use plastics at all of its venues by 2025.
r.World is the nation’s No. 1 reuse program, according to the announcement, providing turnkey reusable alternatives including r.Cup reusable cups and r.Ware reusable food ware containers with the goal of eliminating single-use waste.
