Urbano music star El Alfa announced he will be bringing dembow to U.S. cities this fall with “El Mejor del Planeta” (“The Best on the Planet”) tour, a 17-date run promoted by independent Latin entertainment company Loud And Live that will have the Dominican star visiting arenas and amphitheaters.

The King of Dembow’s run kicks off at The Union in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sept. 10 and includes shows at SAP Center in San Jose, Toyota Arena near Los Angeles in Ontario, California, Rosemont Theatre near Chicago, Boston’s Agganis Arena, Kaseya Center in Miami, Newark’s Prudential Center and Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. El Alfa’s tour concludes Dec. 8 at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

Tickets for the shows are now on sale and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com or axs.com.

“Loud And Live has always taken pride in recognizing the best in the industry and partnering with the most distinguished artists,” Nelson Albareda, founder and CEO of Loud And Live, said in a statement. “This is the case with El Alfa, whose career has grown meteorically in this very competitive genre known as urban music.”

Also known as “El Jefe” (“The Boss”), El Alfa has helped dembow, a genre similar to reggaeton that originated in the Dominican Republic, reach new heights with hit songs like “PLEBADA,” “4K,” “La Mamá de la Mamá” and “Bebe.” He’s collaborated with big-name artists including Cardi B, Daddy Yankee, Kali Uchis Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Peso Pluma, Becky G and Camilo. El Alfa recently released a single from the “Bad Boys Ride or Die” soundtrack called “Tonight,” and his upcoming tour may be one of the few opportunities to see the Dominican star as he stated that he plans to retire next year.

Prior to the U.S. tour, El Alfa, who is repped by AUL Touring & Talent Agency worldwide, will perform at Zenith Paris – La Villette in France on July 4 and at The O2 in London on Aug. 2. He had a successful run in the States last year, grossing more than $6 million and selling 1,647 tickets across 12 headline shows, according to the Pollstar Boxoffice. The rapper’s best showing that year was a sold-out concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Oc. 21 that hauled in nearly $1.5 million off 12,410 tickets.
