The Script will be touring the UK, Ireland, and Europe in autumn, following the release of their new album, Satellites, on Aug. 16.

The tour kicks off at The SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Nov. 13, and wraps Dec. 11 at Fabrique in Milan, Italy.

The Script are spending the summer continuing to support P!nk across her UK, and European dates, as well as select dates in the U.S., including her Aug. 18 outdoor show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA, as well as her Oct. 3 performance at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ.

Returning to big stages of their own this autumn, The Script will receive support from very special guest Tom Walker on all dates except Berlin, Munich, and Milan. Full itinerary below.

The Script released the first single off Satellites today, May 17. It is called “Both Ways,” and marks the first new music from The Script since the passing of the band’s co-founder Mark Sheehan last year.

The song sees The Script return with a new energy, carried by “boisterous hip-hop and funk rhythms providing the irresistible dance-floor vibes to complement the star quality of Danny’s voice,” according to a press release announcing the new album and tour.

The band’s drummer Glen Power commented, “‘Both Ways’ is high energy, and maybe not what people might expect from us. But we’re The Script, and now we have something to prove: that there is life and light after the darkness. It’s why we’re coming fast and strong with that one.”

Touching on the album cover of Satellites, The Script co-founder and frontman Danny O’Donoghue said, “The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who’s been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there. He always will be, but it’s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It’ll never be the same Script. We’re just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do, and that’s to keep making more great music.”

The Script are managed by Simon Moran’s SJM Management, and represented by CAA worldwide. More details available to Pollstar subscribers here.
