Since leaving One Direction in 2015, ZAYN hadn’t taken the stage. That is, until this last weekend when he sold out The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on May 17. The show marked ZAYN’s first ever live solo performance, the date in support of his newly released fourth studio album, Room Under The Stairs.

“I don’t even know where to start,” ZAYN said during the show. “I know it took a while, but we’re here, you know.”

After first going solo in 2015, ZAYN had several concert appearances lined up including a charity show in Dubai and a set at Summertime Ball in 2016. However, the singer pulled out of the shows citing he suffered from severe anxiety.

“I cannot apologize enough, but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me,” he said at the time. “I promise I will do my best to make this up to everbody I’ve let down today. I know those who suffer from anxiety will understand, and I hope those who don’t can empathize with my situation.”

ZAYN performed his tracks “My Women,” “Aleinated,” “Dreamin’,” “Birds on a Cloud,” “Concrete Kisses” and “Gates of Hell” throughout the performance. The show also included the premiere of his documentary, “Road Back To The Mic,” which details the singer’s journey returning to the live stage.
