Reading & Leeds Introduce The Aux Stage For Podcasts & Talks

The UK’s most famous twin festivals Reading and Leeds announced the introduction of a brand new stage for 2024, called The Aux.

Located in the main arena, The Aux will host a lineup of “live podcasts, interactive talks, streams, and hands-on activities with no filter and no topic off limits,” according to a press release from Reading & Leeds, which are promoted by Melvin Benn’s Festival Republic (a Live Nation subsidiary).

The Useless Hotline (Reading), Antics With Ash, In Ayamé We Trust (feat. special guest Coco Sarel), and the M1Podcast (Leeds), have already been confirmed to take the new stage, with more tba.

Reading & Leeds also took the opportunity of The Aux announcement, to reveal the lineup for their BBC Introducing stage, the festivals’ launch pad for new artists. This year’s lineup includes Ellur, Sun King, Delilah Bon, Jodie Langford, with more to come.

According to the festivals’ promoters, 80% of this year’s Reading & Leeds lineup has once been championed by BBC Introducing, including headliners Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Also confirmed to take the main stage at this years Reading & Leeds are Lana Del Rey, Fred Again, Liam Gallagher, Blink 182, Gerry Cinnamon, 21 Savage, Jorja Smith, The Prodigy, RAYE, Two Door Cinema Club, Fontaines D.C., and many more.
