My Morning Jacket Announce Fall Headline Shows

On the heels of a sold-out four-night run at Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, California, My Morning Jacket announced four fall shows following the “The Eye To Eye Tour” co-headlined by Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats.

The beloved indie rock band will open their brief headlining tour at Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah, Georgia, on Sept. 30, followed by shows at Knoxville’s Tennessee Theatre on Oct. 1, Maymont in Richmond, Virginia, on Oct. 3 and Cleveland’s Cain Park Evans Amphitheater on Oct. 4.

S.G. Goodman will be a special guest at the shows in Savannah and Knoxville, and Jade Bird will be on the bill for the final two concerts in Richmond and Cleveland.

Fans registered to My Morning Jacket’s free “One Big Family” community hub have access to a presale right now and the general onsale begins June 7 at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets can be purchased at mymorningjacket.com.

Tickets for the band’s co-headline tour with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, an 11-city run promoted by Live Nation that runs from Sept. 10 through Sept. 28, are now on sale.

Both tours will be done in partnership with REVERB, a nonprofit organization that aims to reduce the carbon footprint of live entertainment.

“We were lucky enough to see Nathaniel and some of the Night Sweats at Preservation Hall in New Orleans some years ago — our minds were blown, our hearts were opened, and we got swept up in the joy of it all,” My Morning Jacket’s Jim James said in a release. “We are so happy to share the stage with these fine folks for a run full of peace, love, music, and fun!”

Rateliff was just as complimentary of his co-headliner and said he and his band “are long-time lovers of My Morning Jacket, and over the years have grown a close friendship. It’s so special to become friends with musicians and peers that you admire and we’re looking forward to bringing our love for each other on the road.”

My Morning Jacket is repped by United Talent Agency’s James Wright worldwide except in North America and managed by Red Light. The band played three sold-out shows at Chicago Theatre last November which grossed $567,716 off 10,362 tickets, according to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.
