Coldplay is on track to have one of the highest-grossing tours of all time with “Music Of The Spheres,” and Pollstar estimates that, come the tour’s end, will likely be the first band to cross the $1 billion threshold on a single tour. They’re also on track to beat a record held by another of Wasserman Music EVP Marty Diamond’s clients with the most tickets sold on the tour. Ed Sheeran currently holds the record with 8.9 million tickets, but the band is expected to top 10 million.

For Diamond, though, it’s just another win in the Wasserman Music office. “Among many other things, we’ve been working on all kinds of exciting opportunities with Ed Sheeran,” Diamond says. “He just played F1 Miami, The Dodgers Foundation Benefit, and later this year he’ll help celebrate the 10th anniversary of X and perform at a few large festivals.” He’s also chuffed with all his up-and-coming artists, including Tyla, FLO and Ryan Beatty. “I’m also looking forward to Catfish and The Bottlemen’s tour. Elyanna is going to be a major force to reckon with,” he says. “We are already knee-deep in 2025 planning for Janelle Monáe, Franz Ferdinand, Mika and many more.”

Additionally, Diamond remarks his client RAYE has had a huge year. The singer cleaned up at the Brit Awards and played both weekends of Coachella. “We’ve focused on telling her story thoughtfully through a mix of strategic support slots, milestone headline dates, key festival appearances and a variety of other non-touring opportunities,” Diamond says. “But it’s her incredible artistic integrity that drives everything and allows her story to unfold organically.”

Much like his fellow executives at Wasserman Music, Diamond puts an emphasis on mentoring younger people working to break into the music industry. “I truly believe that it’s just as important to develop and support the next generation of agents and executive talent in our industry as it is to find and guide great artistic talent,” Diamond says.
