Monty Python’s Eric Idle Plans West Coast Tour
Comedy legend Eric Idle will bring his “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Live!” to the Western U.S. this September.
The show consists of never-before-seen sketches, original songs, jokes, the humorous wisdom that comes with being a living legend, and “exactly one fart joke,” according to a release.
The tour — which begins September 4 in Santa Barbara, California — is Idle’s most extensive in years. He has, on occasion, in the last decade appeared with or in support of fellow Monty Python member John Cleese. In 2014, 10 shows of “Monty Python Live (Mostly),” at London’s O2, which included Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Michael Palin in addition to Idle and Cleese, grossed a combined $23.9 million on 147,811 tickets.
Tickets for Eric Idle’s “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Live!”, go on sale to the public June 14 at 10 a.m. local at ericidle.com.
