After successful editions of German twin festivals Rock am Ring, and Rock im Park last weekend, June 7-9, promoters DreamHaus, eventimpresents, Argo Konzerte, and FKP Scorpio have already announced dates and the first headliner for 2025, when both festivals will celebrate big anniversary editions.
Next year will mark Rock am Ring’s 40th, and Rock im Park’s 30th anniversary, and the party will go down June 6-8, 2025. The first headliner for both events has already been revealed: It’s Slipknot, who are celebrating a significant milestone moment themselves next year, as 2025 marks 25 years since the release of their eponymous debut album Slipknot.

While Dreamhaus didn’t reveal too many details about next year’s RaR/RiP editions, they stated that fans could look forward to more artists on both bills than ever before: around 100 acts, most of whom will perform at both events.
Both Rock am Ring, and Rock im Park will receive a new, fourth stage to accommodate this increased number of acts. Fans have also been promised new camping categories, and a host of new additions that’ll be unveiled in the coming months.
The presales for the 2025 editions of Rock am Ring, and Rock im Park begin today, June 10, at 4 p.m. German time. Weekend tickets for Rock am Ring start at €179 ($193). Combining a weekend ticket with camping at Rock im Park will set visitors back €248 ($268).
This year, some 80,000 visitors attended both Rock am Ring at Nürburgring, Germany’s most famous race course, and Rock im Park on Nürnberg’s Zeppelinfeld. They saw a shared lineup led by Green Day, Broilers, Queens of the Stone Age, Måneskin, Die Ärzte, Avenged Sevenfold, Kraftklub, and others – with few acts exclusive to each festival. Ice-T, for instance, only performed at Rock am Ring, while Pennywise only played Rock im Park.
According to local news reports, rescue services and police confirmed that both Rock am Ring, and Rock im Park 2024 went down smoothly, without major incidents. Interestingly, the audience is reported to have consumed less alcohol than in previous years, which is a fact promoters have been anecdotally experiencing at indoor concerts, and tours, as well.
