Stagecoach Sales Beat Both Coachella Weekends, City Reports
Records from the host city of Coachella and Stagecoach show the festivals sold roughly a quarter million tickets over their three April weekends in the desert.
Goldenvoice, the festivals’ promoter, reported to the City of Indio that it sold 81,690 tickets for the first weekend of Coachella April 12-14 and 80,148 for the second weekend April 19-21. Stagecoach sold 89,003. The three festival weekends sold a total of 250,841.
Goldenvoice reports ticket sales to the city, which collects $2.658 per ticket sold, meaning it took in roughly $2 million.
Goldenvoice declared the first weekend sold-out February 15, roughly a month after tickets went on sale. Approved capacity at the Empire Polo Club for Coachella and Stagecoach is 125,000 per Goldenvoice’s long-term agreement with the city.
Coachella was headlined by Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat. Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Morgan Wallen topped the Stagecoach bill.
A request for comment from Goldenvoice was not immediately returned.
