Mexican Comedian Sofia Niño de Rivera Wraps U.S. Tour With 12 Sellouts

Sofia Niño de Rivera, one of Mexico’s top comedians, made a triumphant return to the States this year with “Vacaciones de Sus Hijos: Gira 2024” (“Vacation From Your Kids: 2024 Tour”), a Live Nation-promoted 14-date trek that sold out 12 shows, including a final performance at Fillmore Miami Beach in Florida on June 29 that concluded with a standing ovation from the crowd.

In addition to the Miami finale, Niño de Rivera sold out venues such as Houston’s 713 Music Hall, the historic Wiltern in Los Angeles, San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts, Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre and The Town Hall in New York.

Niño de Rivera’s sharpness, unique delivery and material about being an adult and parent in this world helped her achieve success that no other Latin female artist has seen on the road. She is the first woman to have a Spanish-language comedy special on Netflix, making her one of the most prominent voices in the Latin comedy scene. According to the release, there’s a chance Niño de Rivera will return to U.S. stages because she “raised an overwhelming demand for additional shows.”

The popular comedian performed at Plaza Theatre in El Paso, Texas, on March 16 and grossed $146,400 off 1,940 tickets sold, according to reports submitted to the Pollstar Boxoffice. Niño de Rivera is booked by Mas Gallo Media in the U.S.
