Amazon Music announced the next entry of its City Sessions series, which invites the biggest names in music for intimate performances at iconic venues. British band Glass Animals are the latest act to be featured in City Sessions, and they will perform at the 650-capacity Racket NYC in New York on Friday, July 19.
The Grammy-nominated band will be celebrating the release of their fourth studio album, I Love You So F***king Much, and playing new songs from the new LP, which drops July 19, as well as fan favorites. The special concert will be livestreamed on Prime Video and the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch at 9 p.m. EST.
Previous artists to be featured on Amazon Music’s City Sessions include Hozier, Snoop Dogg, Noah Kahan, The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon and Wallows.
I Love You So F***king Much is Glass Animals’ first album since 2020. The band formed in 2010 and released a few extended plays before dropping their debut LP, Zaba, in 2014. The rock group from Oxford, England, achieved massive success with “Heat Waves” from their third album, Dreamland. The hit single went viral on social media and has accumulated more than 3 billion streams on Spotify.
Glass Animals is managed by Amy Morgan of September Management and repped by Darryl Eaton of Creative Artists Agency. Since February 2014, the band has grossed more than $15 million off nearly 379,238 tickets sold, according to 122 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. They played two sold-out shows at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. in March 2022 that grossed $749,338 and moved 12,000 tickets.
