North Carolina-based singer, songwriter, and musician MJ Lenderman has announced a fall North American headline tour to go along with his new album, Manning Fireworks, due out Sept. 6 via ANTI. Lenderman will be joined by his band, the Wind.

Following an appearance at Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina and two previously announced shows in Nashville, the new dates begin Oct. 4 at Atlanta’s Terminal West. The trek includes Chicago’s Thalia Hall, Detroit’s El Club, Montreal’s Theatre Fairmount, Pittsburgh’s Thunderbird Music Hall and Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Support on the tour includes Karly Hartzman, Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band and Hollow Hand.

An announcement from his PR team notes that with the new album, which was recorded at Asheville, North Carolina’s Drop of Sun Studios “lets us in on his frank observations on the intersection of wit and sadness. The punchlines from his previous albums are still here, as are the rusted-wire guitar solos, but there’s a new sincerity, too, as Lenderman lets listeners clearly see the world through his warped lens.”

Manning Fireworks includes the single “She’s Leaving You.” A review from Stereogum, which named the tune its Song of The week, says, “MJ Lenderman reliably writes with the wit and hindsight of someone at least double his age. The proof is in the slacker-country jam ‘She’s Leaving You.’”

Lenderman is represented in North America  by Wasserman Music’s Andrew Morgan.

Tickets for all dates went on sale today at 10 a.m. local time. Check out the routing below.
