Chappell Roan Adds Three Amphitheater Dates To ‘Midwest Princess Tour’
For those unable to score tickets to see white-hot “Feminominon” Chappell Roan on “The Midwest Princess Tour,” fear not: the tsunami of the summer has added three amphitheater shows to her September calendar.
In between headlining slots at All Things Go festivals at Forest Hills Stadium in New York on Sept. 28 and Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, Sept. 29, Roan has shoehorned in new concert dates at FirstBankAmphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee, on Oct. 1; Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas, Oct. 2; and Westfair Amphitheater in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Oct. 3.
Presales begin today (July 17) at 10 a.m. local time with the general onsale Friday, July 19, also at 10 a.m. local time.
Roan’s tour is currently set to wrap up at Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, with performances on Oct 5 and 12.
Best to snap those tickets up quickly, though. Chappell has been on fire this summer, with killer costumes and striking, campy makeup, joined by her all-female backing band.
Her performances elicit full-on audience participation complete with decked-out fans, local drag queens and a group dance moment with the YMCA-esque choreography of “Hot To Go.” It’s combined to create an insatiable fan demand as her ongoing “The Midwest Princess Tour” is turning into underplays, despite venues already being bumped up to larger rooms.
In addition to “The Midwest Princess Tour,” Roan has appeared on the lineups of such major festivals in 2004 as Bonnaroo, Governors Ball, Boston Calling, Hangout, and Coachella. Where hard ticket sales have been reported, her tour has been virtually sold out since coming off a support slot for Olivia Rodrigo on her “Guts World Tour” in February.
And she’s had some high-profile looks this year with appearances on NPR’s lauded “Tiny Desk” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Wasserman Music agents Kiely Mosiman and Jackie Nalpant told Pollstar, in a June 25 cover story, that even before Tiny Desk and Coachella, the shows on her “Midwest Princess Tour” sold out immediately. They upgraded almost every venue on the run.

For example, the 1,500-capacity The National in Richmond, Virginia, was upped to the 6,530-cap Brown’s Island (May 23) and the 1,100-cap Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York, moved to the 6,000-cap Terminal B at Outer Harbor (May 24).
To date, Chappell has averaged 2,413 tickets sold per show for an average gross of $89,355, with drop counts in the door at a nearly unheard of 96-98%, compared to the industry standard of 85%.
