High on Fire will be staying on the road a bit longer this year. After performing at rock festivals in Europe, the Grammy Award-winning metal band announced North American headlining tour dates in support of its latest album Cometh the Storm with Negative Approach, Weedeater and Exhumed supporting on select nights.

The 23-city trek, which will also celebrate the High on Fire’s 25th anniversary, kicks off Aug. 31 at Mercury Ballroom, and the routing includes shows at recordBar in Kansas City, Columbus’ The King of Clubs, The Axis Club in Toronto, Desertfest in New York City, Austin’s Mohawk, The Masquerade in Atlanta and Santa Ana, California’s The Observatory before wrapping up at Hipnosis in Mexico City on Nov. 2. The metal band will also perform three nights at Sleeping Village in Chicago, Illinois, from Sept. 7-9.

Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. local time.

“High on Fire legion, take shelter as the storm continues to rage!” the band said in the release. “We are as hungry as ever and in fine form. See you all very soon!”

Cometh the Storm, the band’s ninth studio album, was released on April 19 via MNRK Heavy and is High on Fire’s first LP since 2018. Band members Matt Pike (guitarist, vocalist), Jeff Matz (bassist) and Coady Willis (drummer) kept busy this summer by performing in European festivals like Hellfestin Clisson, France; Resurrection Fest in Viveiro, Spain; Copenhell in Copenhagen, Denmark; and Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium.

High on Fire is repped by Independent Artist Group in North and South America and Wasserman Music’s Tom Taaffe in Europe. The band had a successful three-night stand at Chicago’s Sleeping Village in October of 2021 that sold out and grossed $36,780 off 1,050 tickets, according to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.
