Portugal. The Man To Play San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza
Following a successful date in front of San Francisco’s City Hall in Civic Center Plza with Skrillex and Fred again.., Another Planet Entertainment is utilizing the space once again for a show with Portugal. The Man on Sept. 20 as part of the band’s “The Knik Country” tour. The free show serves as the second installment of their free concert series, which kicked off with Dirtbird’s “Back To Baysics” event at Embarcadero Plaza in July.
Snacktime will join the show as special guests, and Another Planet Entertainment promises this show to be the second in their three-part concert series aiming to ensure downtown San Francisco can remain a destination for live music, entertainment and the arts.
Portugal. The Man is booked by High Road Touring’s Matt Hickey and managed by Rich Holtzman. They played Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on July 10, the date grossing $423,390, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. Their May 24 date at Remlinger Farms in Seattle grossed $138,473.

Another Planet Entertainment has expanded its footprint tremendously this summer as they followed up their landmark festival, Outside Lands, with a rock concert headlined by System of a Down and Deftones in Golden Gate Park.
