Syracuse University Launches Music Business Masterโs Program

Syracuse University is launching a new Music Business Masterโs Program that expands upon the schoolโs undergraduate program in the recording and entertainment industries. Both the undergraduate and Masterโs programs are named after music publishing executive Martin Bandier.
The new program will launch in the fall of 2025 and will cover subjects including fundamental rights, royalties and deal-making approaches of the music business across label, publishing, management, streaming and live sectors of all genres.
โOur goal at the Bandier program has always been to the premier music business school, offering the most comprehensive and cutting-edge education while forging top-tier industry connections,โ Bandier in a statement. โWith this new masterโs program, weโre taking it to the next level, shaping future music leaders who are equipped, connected and ready to make their mark.โ
Bill Werde, director of the Bandier undergraduate program, will oversea the new program. He previously served as editorial director of Billboard.
โBreaking into the music industry can be daunting,โ Werde said in a statement. โIf you have great instincts and passion for what fans love in music and how those tastes evolve, the new music business masterโs program will give you all the access, skills and network you need for an incredibly fulfilling career in the music industry.โ
