P!NK, Imagine Dragons To Replace Elton John At Dreamfest
P!NK and Imagine Dragons will now headline Salesforce’s annual charity Dreamfest concert at Oracle Park in San Francisco after Elton John withdrew.
Captain Fantastic was announced as the performer for the Sept. 18 show, which benefits UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, in July. On X, Salesforce — the customer relationship management software giant — announced “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Elton John is no longer able to perform.”
John retired from the road following his massive “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour, a five-year (albeit COVID-interrupted) worldwide trek. The 330-show run kicked off at PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 8, 2018, and wrapped July 8, 2023, in Stockholm. Along the way, the AEG Presents-promoted “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” set the record for highest-grossing tour, surpassing Ed Sheeran’s “Divide Tour” haul of $776 million.
P!NK is coming off a performance at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
Foo Fighters performed at Dreamfest in 2023, which raised more than $6.5 million.
Tickets for Dreamfast start at $1,000. More information is available here.
