Ohana Festival Announces Storytellers Lineup

Ohana Festival is soon taking place on Sept. 27-29 at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California, and the festival announced the lineup of speakers for its Storytellers Stage. The stage features talks pointing on Ohana’s core pillars, including Ocean Health, Activism, Environmental Justice, Art, Community, Indigenous Voices and more.

Paul Nicklen, photographer, filmmaker and marine biologist; Christina “Mitty” Mittermeier, co-founder of SeaGegacy and a conservationist and photographer; Dr. Ayana Alizabeth Johnson, marine biologist, policy expert and writer; Andy Mann, who photographs for National Geographic and works as a filmmaker; Captain Liz Clark, who released her memoir, “Swell: A Sailing Surfer’s Voyage of Awakening”; Dr. Shireen Rahimi, an underwater photographer and filmmaker, a marine scientist and free diver; Dr. Cliff Kapono, professional surfer and ASU professor and more compose the speaker’s lineup.

The festival itself includes performances from Pearl Jam, Sting, Devo, Turnpike Torubadours, Maren Morris, Black Pumas, Idles, Jenny Lewis, The Breeders and more.
