Neil Young To Headline ‘Harvest Moon’ Benefit As He Returns To The Stage
Neil Young will headline a benefit concert in October, as he adds more live performances after abruptly canceling the Crazy Horse tour earlier this year.
“Harvest Moon,” scheduled for Oct. 5 at The Painted Turtle camp in Lake Hughes, California, will benefit The Painted Turtle itself — the camp provides children with serious medical conditions a free camp experience year round — and The Bridge School, which offers educational services to children with severe speech and physical disabilities.
Stephen Stills will also perform. Other lineup announcements are pending.
Ticket quantities are limited. General Admission tickets go on sale Sept. 6 for $275 including fees. Sponsorship and VIP packages are available, with exclusive benefits such as overnight cabin stays, camp activities, and a gourmet dinner prepared by a top chef. Tickets will be available at www.harvestmoongathering.com. For additional information about the event or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Harvin Rogas at [email protected] or 310-559-9334.
In late June, Young announced his tour would take a “big unplanned break” due to illness in the band. In a recent livestream conference call with fans, Young said while he was just about ready to get back on the stage — he’s scheduled to perform at Farm Aid Sept. 21, as well — some of the other members of Crazy Horse “aren’t there yet.”
