Rapper Childish Gambino is postponing the remainder of his scheduled North American tour dates, he announced Monday.
On X, he wrote “hey everyone. unfortunately i have to postpone the rest of the north american tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in north america when they are rescheduled. thanks for the privacy. thanks for the support. thanks for the love.”
The “New World Tour” launched Aug. 11 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, selling 6,512 tickets and grossing $708,150, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. He later canceled a Aug. 24 show at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, due to “production issues” and dropped the scheduled Sept. 8 show at Houston’s Toyota Center “due to illness.”
The tour is in support of Bando Stone and the New World, which Donald Glover (the man behind Childish Gambino) says is the last under the Gambino moniker.
Childish Gambino is booked by Wasserman Music’s Brent Smith worldwide.
