Dreamliner Luxury Coaches Appoints Tara Semb As Company’s First CFO
Dreamliner Luxury Coaches announced the hiring of Tara Semb as the company’s first chief financial officer, a move indicative of the live touring business’s continual growth.
The appointment of Semb comes 10 months after Dreamliner, the top provider of luxury coaches for high-profile live entertainment acts, nearly tripled its fleet with the acquisition of Hemphill Coach Company.
“Tara’s vast experience with private and public companies will be extremely valuable as Dreamliner continues to grow its client offerings,” Dreamliner Founder and CEO Rich Thomson said in a statement. “In the new position of CFO, Tara will be instrumental in guiding the company with business strategies and systems that will allow us to reach year-over-year goals.”
Semb has certifications as a public accountant, treasury professional, and merger and acquisition adviser and has worked in business and finance for three decades. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from the University of Illinois and a master’s from Washington University.
She led several companies through growth and change in the audit, finance, information technology and business management functions. Semb previously served as APYX Medical Corporation’s CFO and overhauled the company’s financial and IT processes to improve reporting and compliance.
Her understanding of finances will help Dreamliner streamline its processes and boost efficiency as the 4-year-old company expands its business.
“I am very excited to come to Dreamliner at such an exciting part of its growth story,” Semb said in a release. “The opportunity for scaling this business to a best-in-class organization is highly compelling and I am very glad to be a part of it. I look forward to working closely with Rich and the rest of the Dreamliner team as we move into this next phase.”
