Kelsea Ballerini Celebrates ‘Patterns’ With A Madison Square Garden Release Party
Kelsea Ballerini made waves with 2022’s Subject To Change and 2023’s six-song EP Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, earning armloads of awards and nominations in the process. She’s now taking the next step along that confessional road and doing it in the biggest way with the Oct. 26 release of Patterns followed by an album-release blowout Oct. 29 at 19,500-capacity Madison Square Garden in New York City.
It’s a powerful statement, and deservedly so for Ballerini. Rolling Up The Welcome Mat is approaching the half-billion stream mark after having been nominated for Grammy and CMA awards, and Ballerini has also been nominated for CMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year as well as being a Time magazine Next Generation honoree.
An exclusive pre-sale for Chase cardholders starts today (Sept. 9) at noon ET. Tickets to the general public will be available on Kelsea’s birthday – Sept. 12 – at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
“The whole time I was making this album, I was visualizing and dreamscaping ways to bring it to life for our live show, and it was something I couldn’t wait more than five days after its release to do,” the triple Grammy-nominated Ballerini offered. “When good things happen, when new chapters begin, you want to share them with your people. This time around, it just so happens to be in a bucket list venue in the heart of a city that is landmarked heavily in the music and visuals of Patterns. I’m so giddy to be celebrating this album release at Madison Square Garden…see you in New York City!”
Ballerini opted for an all-girl approach to Patterns, teaming up with producer and longtime collaborator Alysa Vanderheym. After a songwriting retreat with Vanderheym, Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Hillary Lindsey, Grammy Songwriter of the Year nominee Jessie Jo Dillon and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, the multiple Country Music Association Award winner superstar created an album focused on female friendship, vulnerability, honesty, jagged spaces and the way relationships really are, not the way they look on Instagram.
“I feel creatively free and emotionally open. Very awake to real life, and my patterns that contribute to my present reality. I’m ready to share that,” says Ballerini.
Expanding the girl power ever further, Ballerini has tapped Tigerlily Gold and Aly & AJ to open this very special, one-night-only concert.
Ballerini last toured in 2023, but has played some notable one-offs in the last year, including appearing with Post Malone at INDYCAR Race Weekend July 14 at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa; and festivals including Sips & Sounds Summer Festival at Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin, Texas, on June 29 and, of course, the CMA Music Festival — formerly Fan Fair — June 7 at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
Ballerini is represented by John Huie and Marc Dennis at CAA in Nashville, and managed by Sandbox Entertainment.
