Lyte Website Down, Industry Sources Fear Trouble For Ticketing Service
Ticketing marketplace Lyte has apparently been down since Friday, with social media channels reportedly deleted and “Scheduled Maintenance” notices on its public-facing websites.
Pollstar has received multiple tips suggesting the ticketing service may be facing serious problems rather than a tech glitch, although at least one notable festival promoter said it was experiencing no issues on their end.
Requests for comment from Lyte’s media representatives and CEO Antony “Ant’ Taylor have gone unanswered.
The service is known for offering fan exchanges and ticket reservations for fans, partnering with major events and venues as a fan- and artist-friendly solution for ticket resale. The platform has been used by festivals including BottleRock Napa Valley, Baja Beach Fest, and Mad Cool.
In June, the service said it had surpassed $750 million in registrations for its ticketing platform and exchange.
On the company’s website a recent blog post from Sept 8 discussed a ticketing collaboration with The Dialogue, a global community championing diversity in music and tech.
