Oasis Announces 2025 North American Dates; Forgoes Ticketmaster’s Dynamic Pricing Model
Oasis today announced the North American dates of their “Oasis Live ’25” world tour, produced by Live Nation and SJM.
Kicking off at the end of August 2024, Oasis will perform in stadiums in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford; Pasadena, California; and Mexico City – with Cage The Elephant as the special guest across all dates. Full itinerary below.
“America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along,” Oasis commented.
The Speculation Is Over: Oasis Announce Reunion Tour
The previously announced “Oasis Live ‘25” UK dates sold out in no time, “culminating in the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK and Ireland, with over 10 million fans from 158 countries queuing to buy tickets,” according to a press release from Live Nation.
Registration for the presale for the “Oasis Live ’25” North American dates is open at www.oasisinet.com until Tuesday, Oct. 1, 8 a.m. EST. The general onsale starts Friday, Oct. 4, 12 p.m. local time on www.ticketmaster.com.
Along with the tour dates, the band shared an official statement on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sept. 30 attributed to Oasis’ management that explained the Gallagher siblings would be forgoing dynamic ticketing for the North American onsale:
“It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable.
“But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans.
We have made this decision for the North America tour to hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the U and Ireland experienced recently.”
In early September the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority CMA announced it was investigating “concerns regarding the sale of Oasis concert tickets by Ticketmaster, including how so-called ‘dynamic pricing’ may have been used.”
As previously reported, prices jumped from £148 to £355 ($194 to $465) during the UK onsale due to dynamic pricing, a ticketing system in which prices are evaluated and reset in response to demand. It’s an option artists can opt-in to when contracting with Ticketmaster.
In response to an uproar by fans over ticket prices, Oasis previously released a statement denying that the band was involved with any decision to use dynamic pricing.
“It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.
“While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations.
“All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve.”
Oasis is managed by Ignition Management, which is based in London. The band used to be represented by Primary Talent’s Ben Winchester, who continues to represent Noel Gallagher. Wasserman Music’s Marty Diamond and Ash Mowry represent Liam for the U.S. and Canada, while Alex Hardee and Adele Slater handle bookings for the rest of the world.
More dates for “Oasis Live ’25” outside of Europe and North America will be announced later next year.
