Claudia Daufenbach Appointed General Manager Of Germany’s PSD Bank Dome
Claudia Daufenbach is the new general manager of the 15,000-capacity PSD Pank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, part of D.LIVE’s portfolio of buildings.
Daufenbach has extensive experience in the management of a wide variety of event genres, including sports, having previously worked as head of event management at Kölner Sportstätten GmbH in Cologne for eight years.
In her new role, she’ll oversee the development and positioning of PSD Bank Dome, which just increased the standing capacity in the bowl to 6,666, giving it an overall end-stage capacity of 14.545.
By its own admission, PSD Bank Dome now boasts the largest interior capacity in the region, following consistent modernizations and developments in recent months and years. Examples include converting the building’s lighting system to LED; modernizing backstage and box areas; renovating the entrance areas and stalls – improving the experience for promoters, production teams, artists, and visitors alike.
Upcoming highlights on PSD Bank Dome’s schedule include concerts by national and international stars, such as Bryan Adams (Oct. 5), Diljit Dosanjh (Oct. 9), RIN x Schmyt (Nov. 16), as well as corporate events, major TV productions, and new event formats like the Final Four of the Baller League (Oct. 7), or the Red Bull Sound Clash 2024 (Dec. 13), which features two stages set up opposite each other.
Some 2024 highlights taken from the Pollstar Boxoffice reports from PSD Bank Dome include the German live podcast “Kaulitz Hills,” with sold 9,057 tickets at a $567,315 gross, July 11; the Joe Hisaishi Symphonic Concert: Music from the Studio Ghibli Films of Hayao Miyazaki (8,430 tickets, $754,816 gross); or Niall Horan, March 26, selling 11,487 tickets at a $587,978 gross.
