Bobby Brown Signs With Day After Day Productions For Worldwide Representation
Grammy Award-winning R&B artist, songwriter and actor Bobby Brown has signed with Day After Day Productions for exclusive worldwide touring representation, founder and CEO Seth Shomes has announced.
Known as a member of New Edition and solo hits, including “My Prerogative,” “Every Little Step,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Humpin’ Around,” Brown joins Day After Day’s growing roster of artists.
Brown, one of the most prominent R&B artists of the late ’80s and early ’90s, was instrumental in popularizing the New Jack Swing movement, a fusion of traditional soul, electronic funk, and hip-hop beats that often included rap interludes between the standard melodic sections. He achieved mainstream pop success with his groundbreaking Don’t Be Cruel album.
“I’m excited to partner with Day After Day Productions and Seth Shomes for this next chapter of my career,” Brown stated. “Touring has always been one of my favorite parts of being an artist because it gives me the chance to connect with my fans all over the world. I’m looking forward to hitting the road and delivering performances that celebrate my music, my journey, and my incredible supporters who’ve been with me throughout the years.”
Day After Day expects to announce Brown’s upcoming tour dates in the coming months.
“Growing up outside of Boston in the ’80s, I was constantly practicing my Bobby Brown and New Edition dance moves in my basement,” Shomes says. “To now have the honor of representing Bobby is beyond a ‘pinch me’ moment and I can’t wait for the future success we will celebrate as a team.”
Brown is managed by Alicia Etheredge-Brown of AE Management.
The signing comes on the heels of the announcement that Day After Day has also signed Lil’ Kim and Teddy Riley for worldwide touring in partnership with Emancipated Icon Entertainment, and following the highly acclaimed Missy Elliot “Out Of This World Tour” and the “Queens Of R&B Tour.”
