Bachelor Degree For Live Pros Launched In Germany

D.LIVE and the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences have launched D.COLLEGE, a live entertainment and event management bachelor degree course tailored specifically to people seeking a career in the events industry.

The part-time degree program will launch in September 2025 covering on music, sports and venue management, promising lectures by top experts and lecturers, with a clear focus on practical learning and industry-specific content.

The course combines a flexible online learning model with intensive practical weeks in Düsseldorf, where D.COLLEGE is located.

The courses run seven semesters, during which students learn all about the process of event management from the ground up, always keeping in mind current industry trends and challenges to ensure practical relevance. The groups of students will be kept small to ensure close interaction with lecturers, and effective practice-oriented learning individually tailored to each student’s professional goals.

This new bachelor degree is “the first practical and high-quality live entertainment degree course in Germany,” said Michael Brill, CEO of D.LIVE, who first revealed plans for D.COLLEGE in Pollstar‘s 2024 Germany Focus.

He added, “With a tailor-made course, we want to pave the way for young talent in the live biz, enabling them to combine their studies with a career.”
