Billy Corgan To Go Solo Down Under

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will undertake a rapid-fire solo tour of Australia in December.

Backed by The Delta Riggs, Corgan will play theaters in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney before performances at the Good Things Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. He’ll play selections from his solo work in addition to Pumpkins classics.

This comes after the Smashing Pumpkins’ Latin American tour in November and follows on from the Pumpkins’ appearances on the stadium-filling “Saviors Tour” with Green Day and the band’s own run of amphitheater headlining dates, which Corgan discussed in a wide-ranging Pollstar interview in September.

Pre-sale for the Australian dates begins 9 a.m. local Oct. 30 with general on-sale starting 9 a.m. local Nov. 1.
