Goldenvoice

Goldenvoice, the California-based promoter that operates venues and produces major festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach, announced the promotions of Becky Rosen-Checa, Montreh Nariman-Hassanabadi, Chavanté Flakes and Candace Mandracia. The four talent buyers will assume elevated roles in key Southern California venues and festivals.

“It’s really gratifying to see someone grow and develop and to be able to recognize and reward that hard work,” Goldenvoice Chief Operating Officer Melissa Ormond, recently featured in Pollstar’s Impact 50 list, said in a statement. “To be able to do that with four individuals at one time is truly extraordinary.  Becky, Montreh, Chevanté and Candace all are great examples of the spirit we try to foster across Goldenvoice, and I’m thrilled to see them take these next steps on their collective career paths.”

Rosen-Checa has been a talent buyer for the historic Roxy Theatre and El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles and will transition to overseeing bookings for the Fox Theater in Pomona and one-off shows in the LA area. She will also contribute to the company’s shows at Los Angeles Historic Park and Brookside at the Rose Bowl as well as festival properties Palm Springs Surf Club and Desert Air.

“After two very fulfilling years at the Roxy and El Rey, I’m excited to transition into my new role booking the Fox Theater in Pomona, festivals such as Desert Air & GV Surf Club, and other fun stuff around LA,” Rosen-Checa said in a release announcing her promotion. “Having started out at this company as the receptionist, I am grateful to those at Goldenvoice who believed in me and helped me get where I am today. I look forward to booking many cool shows and festivals for many years to come!”

Hurta, who was Rosen-Checa’s booking partner, will continue to book for the Roxy and El Rey alongside Nariman-Hassanabadi, who takes on a new role after serving as a talent buyer assistant.

“I am beyond excited to book two of LA’s most legendary venues. I aim to break barriers in live music by amplifying the voices of international acts, particularly Middle Eastern artists,” Nariman-Hassanabadi said. “Together, Henry and I will continue to create a vibrant cultural experience that resonates with all.”

Flakes has been promoted to talent buyer at The Novo, a Downtown LA club popular among hip-hop and R&B artists, after starting with AEG Presents, the parent company of Goldenvoice, in 2022 and working as a booking manager at Goldenvoice this year. He will work alongside fellow talent buyer Gaston Leone.

“I’m thrilled to step into this new role at The Novo and team up with Gaston to bring a fresh, vibrant energy to this incredible venue,” said Flakes, “Being a talent buyer at Goldenvoice allows me to continue my passion for live entertainment—booking shows, supporting artists in their career journeys, and fostering continued collaboration with a diverse range of talent.”

Mandracia ascends to booking shows for San Diego area venues like Rady Shell, Humphreys and Pechanga Casino, joining a team that includes John Wojas, Lea Swanson and Jenn Liebelt.

“I’m so excited to be back in San Diego, promoting concerts with John Wojas again,” said Mandracia, whose previous experience includes working at the Live Nation San Diego office before joining the AEG Presents’ Las Vegas office. “We have years of experience in the market together, and I look forward to being a part of the local Goldenvoice team!”
