Gunna, TWICE Added To Amazon Music Live’s Stacked 3rd Season
Amazon Music Live, a livestreamed concert series broadcast after NFL Thursday Night Football, is flexing its eclectic music taste muscle with the addition of Georgia rapper Gunna and South Korean girl group TWICE to its third season.
Fresh off one-night-only shows in select cities with his “Wun of Dem Nights”, Gunna will take the Amazon Music Live stage in Los Angeles on Nov. 14 to perform new material from his fifth studio album One of Wun, which was released in May, along with fan favorites and deep cuts.
TWICE, which will be the first K-pop act to be featured on Amazon Music Live, wrapped up its “Ready To Be World Tour” earlier this year, a trek that included concerts in Asia, North America, Europe and South America. The global pop stars collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion on a remix of her track “MAMUSHI,” which was released last week, and the nine-member group recently announced their 14th mini album will drop on Dec. 6 via JYP Entertainment/Imperial/Republic Records.
Artists on Amazon Music Live perform in front of a live audience in LA and fans can watch the show exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, a platform popular among streamers, at 9 p.m. PT on Thursdays.
The third season of Amazon Music Live kicked off earlier this month with country music star Jelly Roll followed by Big Sean. Halsey will grace the stage for a special Halloween episode and Colombian superstar J Balvin will grace Amazon’s stage on Nov. 7 before Gunna and TWICE.
Gunna has had a successful year on the road this year, including a hometown show at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on June 11 that grossed $1,077,683 off 13,408 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
TWICE performed two sold-out shows, Feb. 2 and 3, at Foro Sol in Mexico City before the venue closed down for remodeling and became Estadio GNP Seguros. The two concerts combined recorded a haul of $11,186,624 off 114,049 tickets, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
Since 2022, Amazon has taken advantage of NFL viewership to highlight new music from some of the biggest artists in the business and previous seasons of Amazon Music Live featured stars like Ed Sheeran, Feid, Peso Pluma and A$AP Rocky. Viewership more than tripled in the second season compared to the first, and Amazon will look to keep that momentum going in AML’s third season with a lineup of performers from various genres.
Tickets for each show are available via DICE by invitation only. Select customers in the LA area will have access to an exclusive presale for each week’s performance. To register for access to the in-person experience, including The Tailgate fan event, click here.
