The Black Promoters Collective announced a strategic partnership today (Nov. 13) with Pabst Theater Group to exclusively co-produce and promote urban music events across PTG’s six core Milwaukee venues and beyond.

This strategic alliance will amplify BPC’s small-venue strategy: Club BPC, fostering access to urban talent in the greater Milwaukee area and creating an opportunity to serve the community with top-tier, culturally relevant entertainment.

Beth Pepper, Chief Operating Officer of The Black Promoters Collective, emphasized the unique beginnings of this collaboration: “Our partnership with the Pabst Theater Group blossomed out of a meaningful conversation at the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) conference this summer in New Orleans, underscoring the power of independent venues and promoters coming together. This partnership is a testament to the importance of community and cultural connectivity.”

Matt Beringer, Chief Operating Officer of The Pabst Theater Group, added, “Working with BPC allows us to connect Milwaukee’s diverse audiences with premier urban talent, bringing new energy to our venues and supporting our commitment to high-quality, inclusive live entertainment.”

BPC is the only wholly Black-owned live music company among Pollstar’s Worldwide Top 100 Promoters list, where it ranks No. 39 by gross ticket sales in 2023, highlighting the collective’s significant presence and influence in the industry.

Pabst Theater Group hosts more than 700 live events annually at its six core venues, the Pabst Theater, the Riverside Theater, Miller High Life Theatre, Turner Hall Ballroom, The Fitzgerald and Vivarium.

Additionally, the group hosts shows at Fiserv Forum, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and Bradley Symphony Center. It’s financial impact on Milwaukee is substantial, exceeding $250 million, spending $1.3 million in marketing annually and employing 350 full- and part-time staff.

This partnership reaffirms both organizations’ dedication to enriching Milwaukee’s live entertainment scene and offers fans an exciting roster of urban events in 2025 and beyond.
