CAA Appoints Former Asurion CFO John Storey To Chief Financial Officer
CAA has appointed John Storey its Chief Financial Officer, the agency announced today (Nov. 13). Storey most recently served as President of Finance and Operations at Asurion, a global leader in technology protection and support.
“As CAA executes on its vision to best serve our clients by expanding into new business areas and international territories, we are excited to welcome John to our team.” said CAA President Jim Burtson in a statement. “John is a proven leader with an exceptional track record of strategic planning and operational improvement. His accomplishments in building for growth match well with our ambitious goals.”
In addition to its impressive roster of music artists, CAA is a global leader in representation of talent in film and TV, literary, public appearances and speaking engagements, as well as in sports. In September 2023, French billionaire François-Henri Pinault and his family investment firm, Artémis, acquired a majority stake in CAA.
In June, agents Emma Banks, Darryl Eaton and Rick Roskin were named Co-Heads of Global Touring, while Head of Global Touring and Partner Rob Light was elevated to CAA Managing Director.
“CAA is as admired for its market-leading position and innovation in the industry as it is for its uniquely powerful culture of collaboration and connection in service of its clients,” said Storey. “The company is clear in its vision to create limitless opportunities for its clients and employees, and I look forward to playing a role in CAA’s continued growth to help ensure that vision.”
Storey worked in various corporate development, strategy, and financial roles at Asurion for 19 years, serving as Chief Financial Officer for five years. Prior to Asurion, John worked as a research analyst for a public equities hedge fund and as an investment banker with Robertson Stephens and Alex Brown & Sons.
