In the first sale utilizing a new system, standard tickets for the 2025 edition of the Glastonbury Festival sold out in less than 40 minutes, organizers said.

“Thanks to everyone who bought one and sorry to those who missed out, on a morning when demand was much higher than supply. There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2025,” the festival said in a statement.

Under the new system operated via the See Tickets website, ticketbuyers were randomly assigned places in the queue prior to the release of tickets. Next year’s festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset is scheduled for June 25-29.

Last year it took about an hour for tickets to sell out.

This year tickets cost £373.50 ($473) plus a £5 ($6.33) booking fee, an increase of £18.50 ($23.43) over last year.
